The skeleton of this sturgeon is made of cartilage. it barbs, on the front of it mouth, allow it to search for food in the sand. As it is the case for the larger species (beluga, Sevruga ...), its eggs are used for the production of caviar.

It easily accommodates to life in captivity, but it is aggressive toward smaller species. It breeds easily in aquarium: the male delineates a territory in which the female lays its eggs. After hatching, the pair will protect juveniles against potential predators.

Clark's anemonefish is found in a large part of the Indo-Pacific region, going by over a dozen names depending on the region. Capable of living in numerous species of anemone, it is the least picky anemonefish in terms of hosts.

The false skunk striped anemonefish is a tropical fish native to the Indian and Pacific oceans. Common in the Indonesian seas and the Great Barrier Reef, it is easily recognizable by its pinkish color that can range towards orange and its unique white band.

The white-tipped anemonefish generally lives in symbiosis with the leather anemone or Haddon's anemone. It feeds on plants, algae, and microorganisms closely related to its host.

The European eel, A. anguilla, is a freshwater fish native to Europe. Abundant until the 1980s, it has been severely affected by overfishing. It is considered a critically endangered species in France and several neighboring countries.

It owes its name of "freshwater shark" only to the shape of its dorsal fin. It behavior and it food have nothing comparable. It acclimates easily to the aquarium.

Small barbs located around its mouth enable it to detect food. It is easy to breed in captivity. The species is very prolific, nests often have over 500 juveniles.

The zebra loach is endemic to the Krishna River basin in India. Its populations are declining, mainly due to pollution and deforestation. Loaches play a central role in ecosystem balance by naturally regulating populations of freshwater snails.

It sometimes lives in brackish water. It easily accommodates to life in aquariums, but unfortunately its captive breeding is still impossible.

The female has a broader abdomen than the male. To escape predators, it can make impressive leaps out of the water and "fly" by using its pectoral fins. That is why it is recommended to keep it in a covered aquarium.

The coral beauty angelfish is always born female. As they grow, individuals change their sex to become male, a phenomenon known as protogynous sequential hermaphroditism. The difference between male and female is therefore visible. The adult male is larger and has an anal fin ending in a point.
