How to recognize the mauritian anemonefish ?

Amphiprion chrysogaster is easily recognizable by its almost black dark brown color and its 3 white stripes. The lower body and anal fins are yellow-orange.

It bears strong resemblance to the Amphiprion fuscocaudatus (Seychelles) where only the tail differs with stripes rather than a solid dark tail for the Amphiprion chrysogaster. Similarly, the Amphiprion tricinctus (Marshall Islands) has a spot on the base of the tail narrower than that of the A. chrysogaster.

The Mauritian anemonefish lives in colonies among corals and anemones. Although slightly territorial, this fish generally behaves peacefully with other species. It feeds on small plants and microorganisms on the tentacles of shallow anemones.

Les conditionneurs d'eau garantissent une meilleure santé aux poissons et une meilleure croissance des plantes.

Chlorine and chloramine are dangerous for the health of animals. Used to disinfect water, these agents are present in significant quantities in tap water.
